RØMANS Captures Nonchalant Love with New Single & Video, Animals
Evan Dale // Dec 6, 2018
London’s RØMANS is having himself one hell of a year. As we approach the end of 2018, a look back at his annual catalogue makes him one of the more intriguing and prolific artists to have blessed us all with his unique musical approach. Nine single releases including the global hit, Dancing Alone en route to an eventual EP, People, have already coalesced to make him one of the most keynote breakout artists of the moment. A singer and songwriter with an explosive range, knack for poetically relatable lyricism, and an affinity for an eclectic blend of electronically-founded production grant no ceiling to his talent or his fan base. Recently signed to RocNation, the hustle has been obvious. And his latest single, Animals, is yet another example of his talent and artistic individuality.
But it’s also a brash change of pace. A slowed melody, a more delicate production, and an exhibition of a falsetto and accompanying emotional breadth shine RØMANS underneath a whole new light. As if that wasn’t somehow enough, the track also comes hand-in-hand with a touching, romantic video that, bolstered by vibrant animations, is essentially just three minutes of RØMANS and a significant other sharing a really cute dance.
A perfectly addicting track about instinctual trust, nonchalant-ness, and sexual forwardness and a fun-loving video that doesn’t take itself too seriously work in harmony to push RØMANS even further into imminent stardom backed by wide-ranging talent a lovability.
