It’s always a little surprising when epic professionalism falls into the wake of a relatively small-scale artist. And surprised is exactly what we are by the soulful performance and cinematic video for Bonfire from Conrad – a young London vocalist who’s seemingly well ahead of his own career. His sound, unique and studio perfect, his video, engaging and high-budget, his look, designed and cosigned by famed bespoke designer, Marc Jacques Burton who said about Conrad, ‘…I instantly connected with how genuine he is about his music and how he writes from experiences he has faced that we can all relate to…’

It should be noted, Burton regularly collaborates with Migos, Future, and Young Thug…

Which brings an obvious question to mind, from the videography to the fashion, how did Conrad end up in company of such talented creatives?

But then one listen to Bonfire and everything falls into place. You see, Conrad is undeniably gifted, harnessing a soulful voice that hits a range rarely matched by anyone not already considered to be one of the most important vocalists alive. The track is brutally emotional and heartbrokenly downtrodden in a way that still feels uplifting and powerful rather than meager and weak. And that’s all thanks to Conrad’s vocal delivery. It’s certainly odd that there is such little information readily available about the artist, but not odd at all that he has seemingly found his way without having to yet introduce himself to the world.

Perhaps, Bonfire is that introduction, and perhaps we better hear it, because by the sound (and look) of things, young, mysterious Conrad is bound to be something special.
