One of our favorite tracks of the Summer now has a late Autumn music video. It’s cold outside today, so the scalding bars and bouncy melody from EpicMustDie, HeyDeon, and KB Devaughn’s anthemic Crowns is exactly what all of us needed. The track was a standout in what is already an outstandingly slept on album in EMD’s Trust Fall, and the collaborative effort which extends from the verses to the chorus, brings it together as an undeniably uplifting West Coast anthem.  And the video is more of the same.

 

In traditional LA rap video fashion, blunts, MacBook Pros, palm trees, and mellow shots of the neighborhood come together to paint a vibrant backdrop for the three lyricists who trade verses and spotlight in the production in equal measure. It’s a simple video which brings more honesty and artistic integrity to three rappers who always put the traits second only to their music.
