Self-described and understated New York artist/producer/engineer, akari, is one of the more thoroughly talented individuals we’ve been fortunate enough to come across recently. A modern artist in its purest definition, he truly does it all. Dipping toes into akari’s canon, many tunes are purely instrumental cuts fond of mellow hip-hop tempo and bouncy key stokes, while others allow his Sweathop Union reminiscent vocals and effortless flow to seamlessly play overtop. 

 

The results, very much on full exhibition in his latest, wya, are blissful and ultimately fluid leaving nothing to be desired but just another verse or two. Be on the lookout from akari who is bound to continue his torrid pace and steady growth as his already expansive skillset continues to widen.
