Geographical collaborations often yield the most innovative results. And when that collaboration calls home to Seattle and brings together artists as complimentary and downright funky as Dave B and Sango, only one outcome is possible: unpredictable bliss. 

 

Coming in at a brisk minute-and-a-half, we find that I Rhymed King with King easily feels longer when you leave it on repeat all day. And that’s exactly what we’ve done.

 

In our defense, the track is inescapable. Between the comical sample to ease in Sango’s high-energy bounce and the impossibly head-bobbing flow driving Dave B’s impeccable lyricism that the title would have you overlook, the track’s only real downfall is that it isn’t just a little bit longer… or you know, an entire album.

 

Maybe someday soon, but for now, I Rhymed King with King is a damn masterpiece.
