Overtop gentle guitar chords and a mastery of modern production techniques that place their dynamic duality center stage, Mulherin uncover something that is at the end of the day, best not to be described at all.

Human Nature is a pinnacle project in terms of its raw emotion evoked cleanly through ever rawer vocals. But the difference separating Mulherin from anyone else who in this day in age are experimenting with a post-genre approach to emotio-vocally-centered music, is that theirs has no bounds. There is no clear Mulherin sonic direction comparable to another of the present or the past. 

 

Tethers can be tied, comparisons can be drawn, but in finality, Human Nature stands sonically independent as an explorative albeit at times uncomfortable and imperfect piece of creative ingenuity.
