Marvin Dolo's Crctr Dfcts is a Surprisingly Anthemic Party Vibe Project

The slow, methodic delivery of Marvin Dolo has enough energy-evoking force to slowly and methodically disassemble any ordinary home into a violently hype, destructive house party. He’s got the wave and his new project, Crctr Dfcts is tidal in nature.

It’s interesting that music has evolved to a point where some of the most hard-hitting, anthemic party jams come by way of soft-spoken artists spewing messages of love and humbleness. But, with the right balance between their vocal approach and production, some artists have mastered the technique.

Crctr Dfcts is a quick, six-track playlist signature to an artist as prolific as Dolo. His last project came just three months ago, and two singles occupied the space between its release and this one. The man is always creating. But, what’s won in quantity is not always lost in quality.

Crctr Dfcts is in our humble opinion, the most sonically driven and interesting work in Dolo’s canon, which given its depth, is a statement not to be taken lightly. But, we have our reasoning. From start to end, the project rides its inviting, bouncy melodies, merging its length into a theatrical build of acts with carefully constructed transitionary intermissions.

Impressive lyricism often slips into humor and positivity flows throughout. It’s a viby, anthemic project that is as fun-loving and bubbly as it is high-energy and present. So, put it on at your next house party, and watch things slide into chaotic good times.
