Yatez Brings Some Much-Needed Summer to Autumn with New Single, Do For Your Love
Evan Dale // Oct 30, 2018
There’s something unavoidably summery about the dancehall-influenced Do For Your Love coming by way of Birmingham lyricist Yatez, but maybe a touch of warmth and sunshine is exactly what Autumn is in need of. We can’t speak for everyone, but its heat is much welcome. As is the brash combination in the texture that has become so prevalent and influential on the global music scene.
The Caribbean-inspired melodic mood which also defines the track’s video, finds an established balance with Yatez’s high-energy, vivid delivery, making Do For your Love a very modern take on a very classic British hip-hop styling driven first and foremost by lyricism. Tweaking the balance also is the collaborative effort of vocalist, Destiny, whose own part in the track finalizes its romantic thematic explorations.
Addicting and anthemic, Do For Your Love is just the right kind of track to set the stage for any vibrant gathering, and will be sure to get people out of their seats and into their own takes on the Mambo.
Keep an eye out for the 23-year-old artist whose recent deliveries have made him one of the most promising MC’s from the UK.
