Gangsta-Era Reminiscent Villain Park Return with Cold Game

West Coast collective of all things hyper-lyrical and Gangsta-Era Reminiscent, Villain Park have been MIA for some time. Without a release in 2018, the hip-hop world was beginning to wonder if more was ever going to come. Realistically, the trio of talented lyricists haven’t ever followed up their acclaimed 2015 mixtape that completely changed the script on expectations on modern hip-hip songwriting and production. Like something that the best of the mid-90’s had to offer, Same Ol Shit was storytelling enticement coupled with unparalleled penmanship and effortless flow. And then, only two single releases in the next three years.

But now, they return not only to reaffirm our confidence in their retro-futuristic aesthetic, but also to prove that with time spent out of the public eye, they’ve only gotten better and more dedicatedly fervent to their direction. Cold Game is an intense, violent, yet encouraging tale of the difficulties trying to come up in the rap game - which all in all seems like a tale of why they’ve been so absent as of late. Hopefully, the wait is over now and more is soon to come.
