There is something humbling and equally thrilling about being along for a ride. And boy are we ever with Brooklyn emcee and so much more, Ur Maa. Young artists with so much talent expectedly take large strides and with his most recent offering, SHE DON’T CARE, Ur Maa shows that he is more than just a vigilant lyricist, but equally an emotionally stirring ambient producer.

It’s not that his production talent hasn’t likewise been on display across the range of his previous releases, but SHE DON’T CARE is a purely experimental, nob-vocal, ethereal composition comparable most to the school of Scandinavian sonic minimalists and particularly low-fidelity Dreamwave artists.

SHE DON’T CARE is less of a single and more of an intriguing look into the future where a gifted rapper is providing his fans a taste of something new which he is bound to fold into his artistry with greater gusto in the near future. Per such, he joins the Sean Leon ranks of rapper/vocalist/producer multi-dimensionalists whose differing endeavors differ greatly but come tied together under the spin of their creative webs.

Needless to say, we’re excited to see where this goes, just as we are perfectly content to see Ur Maa’s new direction take a form of its own.
