Chicago’s bubbly Tobi Lou is an artist fitting of the cartoon aesthetic delineating the world of his music videos and sunshiny disposition. Still fresh out of the gates, he has become one of the most intriguing young names in hip-hop and beyond, delivering over the past year two EP’s, a debut album, and an incalculable number of singles strewn with features from some of the Midwest’s best and brightest. It’s no surprise that every time he decides to release something, the world is watching his steady ascent to the top, bringing in his wake a new positivist era of hip-hop music.

Orange is a track that exists on the more downtempo end of his signature melodic delivery, exploring his fun-loving lyricism and welcoming vocals in a manner, as the title would assume, in honor of Frank Ocean’s influence on his art.

Mr. Ocean would be proud, Mr. Lou and our favorite color is Channel Orange, too.
