With Genuine, Noah & Shagabond define themselves as exactly that – genuine players on the R&B circuit.

 

Again marked by a sultry hook belted from the more than capable range of Noah and the modern but instrumentally adept composition from Shagabond, the two strike a unique harmony becoming further expected in the modern neo-soul and R&B soundscape. 

 

And again marked by a series of instrumental and vocal breakdowns where emotional and sensual mood shifts drive a firmer sense of length and story into Genuine, the two find themselves where they last left off – somewhere en route to a velvet-strewn hotel jazz lounge for an evening of mystery and damn good music.
