The transformation of Travis Scott is nothing that everyone doesn’t already know about. Between becoming one of the most important figures in all of modern music and pop culture at large and having a Netflix documentary depict it all, he’s teetering on omnipotent and undoubtedly iconic. But even amongst the insane growth, his newest project, JACKBOYS, is the first step in a new lane.

Travis Scott is officially the industry leader of the hyphy, and his JACKBOYS project is his first dissertation as overlord of the ignorant. His loyal crew of trappy superstars all come to play across the EP. Lil Baby, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Quavo, Offset, Young Thug, and Pop Smoke round out the feature list. And by the end of the project, it feels like Travis Scott has finally made the leap into the conglomerate forming musical god that Kanye West was in the early 2010’s. Bump it and see what’s to come as we enter what may very well be Travis Scott’s decade.
