TOBi Pens Inwardly-Written Raps in New Single, Faces
Evan Dale // Nov 9, 2019
Nigerian-Canadian rapper-vocalist, TOBi has been having a year. The release of his debut springtime album, STILL earned him deserved international acclaim, a COLORS Show performance of new single, Beige furthered his reach, and now, newest single, Faces might be his most refined release to date. A one-man band of lyricism, vocalism, and composition, TOBi seamlessly pulls together his own tracks from verse to hook to production. But, with Faces, folding in the genius production of Seattle-based Sango and further input from Wax Roof, TOBi shines as a multi-talented front man. Effortless merging lanes between the rapped and the sung, he walks a lot of lines and pulls a lot of differing fan bases towards himself, all the while making Faces one of the more unique and inwardly written compositions of the Fall so far.
