Don’t worry, you’re not alone in disassociating Calgary from silky, modern R&B. We didn’t know either. But it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t have known. Ruben Young, hailing from Calgary, Alberta as we so investigatively discovered via his SoundCloud, is, we suppose, the pinnacle of Calgary R&B. And though that may not mean much from our understanding of the city, it doesn’t mean that he’s not incredibly talented. Silky to say the least, he’s both a phenomenal vocalist and a clever songwriter.
