Rothstein Continues Effortless String of Releases En Route to Paradise
Evan Dale // Jan 2, 2019
In a string of recent single releases that he’s referring to as loosies, Boston transcendentalist, Rothstein is doing a great job of underselling himself. Where last we became addicted to his mellow, emotionally-evoking endless winter, we’re now in the same position with i saw you around. Whether embarking on a path of lyrically-prolific and unedited rap verses (open water) or continuing the path he’s becoming most well-known for – crooning over an edited vocal delivery to the tune of brash individuality and unapologetic emotion, Rothstein doesn’t miss his shot.
With i saw you around, he combines the two deliveries and brings to the table a balance and harmony that makes the track feel like a collaborative vocal effort. And in that sort of multi-dimensional organization exists Rothstein’s truest artistry and wide-ranging genius.
It’ll all be coming to fruition in the eventual release of Paradise.
