If there exists a throne for lyricists of the UK’s rap scene, 2019 already boasts a pair of kings. Headie One and Dave who were both recipients of explosive 2018’s – the former released a pair of projects, The One & The One Two – the latter jumped to the top of the UK charts with Funky Friday– join forces for an expectedly dark, meditative, and fervent single / video release, 18HUNNA. The project was teased a while back and understandably, the pair’s hardcore fan bases applied high expectations. But those expectations are every bit exceeded with the complimentary project.  

 

The video which sees both artists lounging atop thrones of cash and black porcelain, splitting a bottle of Hennessy, and effortlessly trading lyrically-clean, energetically-intense verses, is even more of a high-energy turn-up hit than the track itself.
