New season, new Qveen Herby EP. With what has got to be the most prolific ongoing run in music, the transcendent force of musical indefinability and pure powerful style is here with her fifth five-track project since the summer of 2017. And again, it’s an absolute winner. Spearheaded by the video for BDE, the EP is in no way short of energy. But, like everything else she’s ever put out, it’s defined most by range and complexity. Whether belaying crystalline vocals or dropping bars at an absurd pace, she’s consistent in sounding like no one else and being really damn good at it. My Man is a tamer, more laid-back display of her talent while BDE is what has become a signature exhibition of her knack for piecing together anthemic hits. And though a lot of stylistic ground exists between the two, she has no problem covering it effortlessly with the broad range of the other three – Brunette Ambition310, and On God

All hail the Qveen.
