Architect of calming vocal ambiance, MTMBO is in a class and a distinction all his own. With a folk-acoustic-inspired delivery subdued by effervescently spacey keystrokes and production, he delivers emotion-evoking ballads that hit home lyrically and compositionally to anyone with a soul. If you’ve heard him, you’ve heard The Hill, his breakout single of heartstring ripping vocals and reminiscence. But if that’s all you’ve heard, you need to dig deeper.

With his latest, MTMBO employs a harp to set the emotional tone, using particularly ambient sampling and some of the calmest, most emotive vocals a human being is capable of delivering. In coalescence, no element of CHYIYWHY takes precedent. Instead, the harp, the ambiance, and the vocals effortlessly slide in and out of one another into sonic bliss and pure introspective introversion. The track is the kind of emotional release we all need in our lives, and MTMBO is the kind of artist the world needs a lot more of.
