London's Lunacre Merge Acoustic Reminiscence with Experimental Texture

London trio, Lunacre create the kind of auditory aesthetic that feels like what The Shins would make had they drank a bunch of hallucinogenic absinthe and been incredibly well-versed in classic poetry. Driven by the vocals and undeniably fluid and well-thought lyricism of lead vocalist Ben de Vries, the rest of the sonic soundscape comes together with experimental takes on classic instrumentation and production – particularly in the realm of the guitar and keyboard of Scott Nelson. Easy-listening at surface level, but challenging and innovative in truth, Lunacre are the kind of band that don’t come around too often – especially in the modern music climate.

Quiet Rev is their latest single release, following up 2018’s Red Sky and Love Being Lost and fitting in line with the ode to mid 2000’s acoustic alt rock hand in hand with modern experimental production techniques and a one-of-a-kind knack for storytelling and songwriting. A psychedelic, lovable jam, Quiet Rev is perfectly applicable across anyone’s day-to-day while bringing a little spice and reminiscence in its wake.
