JVCK JAMES Embodies All of our Quarantine Emotion with 'Overseas'
Evan Dale // May 11, 2020
Crowned Prince of the emotional, futurist UK R&B spectrum, JVCK JAMES has been making waves since 2017’s Extroverted Lovers shined a light on his one-of-a-kind electro-R&B sensitivities. Three years, seven singles, and a debut project (DETOUR) later, JVCK JAMES is feeling the pain of isolation just like the rest of us, but thankfully – unlike the rest of us – he has the creative capacity to turn it into a gorgeous single.
Overseas is his upbeat quarantine ballad for a lover stuck abroad. And akin to any of his music made outside of his current constraints, it’s an emotionally explosive R&B anthem telling of a future of music directed by his brash, unique sound. It’s the post-quarantine reunited sex anthem we all needed to keep us pushing forward with positivity with our existing flings, whether they’re overseas or just down the street.
