British-Ghanaian Juls Takes us to his Feature-Heavy 'Happy Place' Just in Time for Summer

British-born Ghanaian producer, Juls defined the peak heat of 2019’s summer with his vivid Colour and as we head into the warm months of 2020, he’s bringing us back to his Happy Place. The five-track playlist – which folds in the vocals and poetics of Busiswa, Jaz Karis, Aymos, TOBi, Jah Cure, King Promise, and Mugees – is another eternally danceable, good-vibes record worthy of sunshine and beaches. And that’s great news these days because even if accessing our own happy places may be barred for now, being transported there by Juls is a quality second option.

But Happy Place is more than a happy-go-lucky 20 minutes of West African bliss. It’s a deep dive into the merged lanes of Ghana’a cultural renaissance and its tethered lane with that of the UK. For such an undertaking, there is no better name than Juls. And for the Summertime, there is no project more adhering to its sunshiny vibes than that of Happy Place.
