With one of the more unique and entrancing approaches to R&B that we’ve heard in a while, Hailey Orion brings a brace of new singles into spring. Oh Well and Only If are two very different tracks adjoined only by their release date and the incredible expanse of Orion’s bold talent. The former is an emotional, romantic roller coaster featuring a silky-smooth feature from friend and frequent collaborator, Malik who himself boasts a noteworthy set vocal skills that round out the challenging, experimental love song. The latter is a bubbly, dizzying and uplifting exhibition resting neatly on electronic foundations and deep layers of vocal perfection. Together, they display the range of aesthetics possible when a young artist with so much to bring to the table exudes warm weather and good vibes.
