A removal from his recent endeavors in both length and vibrance, 25 Pounds displays his ability to shift gears from his previously dark and melodious undertakings towards a repeatable, yet lyrically-efficient cadence overtop a rough trap beat. The result, even for fans of his minimally mainstream efforts earlier in the year, is welcomed and exciting, showing once again the Parisian is not only someone to watch for in the emerging French presence on the international scene, but simply an artist whose presence is worth watching unfold across all of music.
