Brasstracks & R.LUM.R Get Together for Silky new Track, I'm Alright

Each spread between a stylistic and technical range much wider than most artists, a collaboration between R.LUM.R and Brasstracks seems obvious. With a track record of collaborations with many of R&B and hip-hop’s most unique and celebrated performers, it’s no surprise that the New York duo looked towards the Florida vocalist for a joint project. That being said, choosing a lane for it must have been a process.

Instead, they seemingly pull together everything they do in creation for a single, I’m Alright, that seamlessly spans eras, styles, and techniques. R.LUM.R’s performance breathes of 90’s R&B cadence but finds balance in its cohesion with the track’s production – production that, in and of itself, blends electronic and brass elements in a way that Brasstracks by their name and their history have become expected to pull together. And just like the prior work from both artists and their work with others, this one, for lack of a better phrase works, and works really, really well.
