With a turn towards warmer seasons tends to come a shift towards more vibrantly colored, bubbly sonic texture fitting of group gatherings creekside and rooftop drinks at sunset. If that be the case of generality, then Bristol-based funk / electronic / nu-disco duo, TWOGOOD is here with new single, Raindrops, to specifically get us all stripped down to our skivvies, tipping bottles skyward, and dancing in the water of public fountains. The track is a mastery thesis on feel-good production only achievable with not one, not two, but three creative minds behind its construct.

Tom and Jon (TWOGOOD) bring together their undeniably collusive and fun-loving artistries with that of Maddy – a vocalist whose voice would leave us all questioning just how it is that this is the first we’re hearing from her. Good news is, that it’s certainly not the last. The joint project is supposedly the premier of a budding friendship and clearly, a mutually-beneficial creative relationship between the three.

Fun, danceable, and vibrant as the track is, such delineations have by no means ever discounted that serious discussion can take place in their wake. As such, we would like to point out that Raindrops comes together as a track deserving the company of some of the UK’s most important electronic vocalist collaborations. Disclosure & Sam Smith, Tourist & Lianne La Havas, Jamie XX & Romy, TWOGOOD & Maddy. All are emotionally-brightening, energetically-awakening, and musically genius.

It’s that good. Though Tom and Jon TWOGOOD may seem to be a couple of clowns, they’re no joke.
