Cousin Stizz Delivers Dynamic Three-Track Teaser, All Adds Up
Evan Dale // Aug 21, 2018
Cousin Stizz doesn’t make bad music. The prolific Boston rapper who has released a full-length project each of the past three years, teases the beginnings of what may come to be his fourth concurrent annual. All Adds Up is the kind of three track release we’ve come to look forward to from Stizz whose meditative flow, dynamic lyricism, and impossible-to-replicate style can keep our heads bobbing for hours just the same as it can with an EP.
Always growing within the bounds of his signature, Stizz again seems to have grasped new ground lyrically, pumping Shop in particular full of penmanship and Did It full of punchlines; growing stylistically, putting a dynamic, downtempo spin on his usual approach with Way Up; and growing wholly, putting out the strongest and most well-rounded short project of his career.
Hopefully this is all adding up to a larger project in the works, but for now, at the very least, the hip-hop world is blessed with the refreshing, undeniable style of another Cousin Stizz release.
