It feels like it’s been a long time since Sir Michael Rocks AKA Mikey Rocks, dropped something new. The Illinois rapper, along with his former constituent, Chuck Inglish, built a timeless empire as The Cool Kids more than a decade ago. Today, their music is as relevant as the day it was released – a salute to their progressive sound and influential prowess on subsequent generations. But once the duo began focusing more on different projects and on their individual careers, success was split and not multiplied. Neither artist saw the fame they once new and never put together anything quite as grabbing as they did as a duo. Mikey Rocks in particular has released a large collection of music as a soloist, but has lacked the firepower necessary to ascend to the position of a first-tier artist, existing more in reputation as a popular feature.

His newest release however, does show some serious promise. Though it is annoyingly short, it displays a relevancy and unique styling that he has largely been unsuccessful in uncovering since his time with the Cool Kids.
