Marco McKinnis Exhibits Deep Growth and Emotionality with new Single

Virginia’s Marco McKinnis represents the young generation of hyper-romantic R&B vocalists as one of the smoothest and most classically-inspired artists breaking into to the scene today. With the release of his debut project, Underground last summer, global notoriety ensued. And now, working towards his sophomore EP, E-Merse, he returns with Deep, a fervent exhibition of his growth as a vocalist and a ballad bursting with tender emotionality.
The track is one on the verge of being brokenhearted, questioning the legitimacy and depth of a relationship and asking for patience in its growth. In combination with Marco’s insane vocalism that has grown in range in just a year, Deep is the kind of R&B anthem that would have been a radio hit in the late-90’s, just as it’s bound to be today. Along with its old-school nuances, Deep sees experimental production built on undeniably wavy, and undeniably sultry uses of classic baby-maker instrumentation. It’s an early classic, and a sign that E-Merse might be as well.
