The last time we checked in with KB Devaughn was on the heels of his debut release, For Me, Not U. The clean West Coast detailing of his sound hasn’t gone anywhere, but a noticeable growth of his impossibly catchy, mellow vibe continues. His latest offering, a video for the For Me, Not U hit titled The Heart likewise continues the consistent stream of his off-kilter approach to the love story.

The expectedly summery project, which features a guest hook from fellow Los Angeleno, Buddy – whose voice only adds to the romance and bubbly warm-weather aesthetic of its entirety – is short and simple, clean and sweet. The video builds upon the track’s established positivist energy, seeing Devaughn and dozens of his closest friends enjoying summertime in Southern California. Palm trees, water guns, ice cream trucks, and drone shots bring this film into exhibition mode for the future of the high-quality, low-budget music videos.
