Boj & Joey B Join Forces for Alté Jam, No Waste Time

Nigerian Alté star, Boj shines with some of the most understated music coming from the explosion the West African Cultural Renaissance. Keen to the mellow vibes signature to Alté’s spoon-fed delivery and low-fidelity production, he has no problem making his presence felt even amongst the coolest of club jams. His latest is a melodical, meditative collaboration with Joey B called No Waste Time. The track is a low-key change of pace for Joey B who is best known for upturnt club anthem, Tonga, and falls more in line with the calm and collected deliveries – Tungba, Obe – that have turned Boj into one of a handful of key names in Alté’s introduction beyond the Nigerian Gen-Z stream and into the ears of the world.
For listeners searching for an Afro-beat aesthetic merging with modern production and low-fidelity hip-hop and R&B sensitivities, Alté is a direction worth exploring and Boj, an artist whose canon is worth a deep dive. No Waste Time. This is the perfect place to start.
