UK club producer, Joe Hertz has become masterful at coalescing his sounds with those of his carefully curated featuring vocalists. His latest single release – his first of 2020 – is Fight Or Flight and pulls into the picture the silky, afrofusion founded image of IYAMAH who herself is a figure of the UK’s role in the West African Cultural Renaissance and beyond. With Hertz’s production that pulls in simple, poppy keys and African-inspired rhythm and instrumentation, IYAMAH delivers an addicting, emotive track, as much hers as any solo project she’s put out.
