Honeyfitz is Relatable & Reminiscent of Modest Mouse with Concrete

Western Mass Mellow Pop Americana artist, Honeyfitz builds his music on subtle instrumentation, vibrant production, and a completely left-of-center vocal approach delineating relatable, wholesomely manic -depressive lyricism. Like some sort of modern day, all-in-one Modest Mouse, Honeyfitz is pretty bizarre, but that’s from where the charm of his art arises. He is undoubtedly talented just in the way that he’s undoubtedly bold, but above all else, he seems pseudo-apologetically himself.

With deep, imperfect vocalism, he delivers Concrete, his first single of the year, and first release since last year’s collaborative project DEADMALL with fellow Mass experimentalist, Gabe Gill.

Concrete is a tale of the deep thought that spurs when laying on the cold basement floor. And though the lyricism at times seem dark and disturbed, at others seem creative and beautiful, the entire track feels fulyl attached the realities of our streams of consciousness, and for that, as part of the burgeoning indefinable sphere of all-in-one internet artists, Honeyfitz absolutely nails it.
