In a dim-lit speakeasy with creative takes on classic formal dress adorning everyone inside, GoldLink, Jay Prince, and Tyler, the Creator exude effortlessness, intrigue, and a touch of expected humor even amongst the absurdity of a party collapsing at the hands of fights with skinheads and diasporic witchcraft. The result is the kind of clever, creative, and wide-ranging exhibition on influence from far and wide that drove the greater album’s direction.
