South London's Alekxandr is Poignant & Heartbroken with Tell Jackson
Evan Dale // Jan 28, 2019
South London’s Alekxandr is a proponent of the poignantly reminiscent and the experimentally undertone. With a set of crystalline vocals, he delivers tales and messages of love and loss often coupling them with electronic nuances and orchestral classicism. His latest, Tell Jackson edges on the side of the orchestrally ballad and the undeniably poignant, exploring a past experience with a failed lover and that lover’s new. It’s a brutal reminder that nothing is permanent and that taking anything for granted will result in only two things: sadness in hindsight and great music.
We sure hope that Alekxandr isn’t quite as downtrodden as the song would hint at, and that as he continues to push out new music, Tell Jackson, though a beautiful ballad, is only a mere piece of his emotive spectrum, just as it is to his creativity.
