The Peruvian Prince of Hip-Hop, A.Chal is truly much more than that, and his newest single release is here to prove it. Certainly driven in verse by a signature hip-hop cadence, Pink Dust is also an experiment in the atmospheric production and layers of accompanying vocals that weave in and out of it all. From the beginning of his career stretching back to 2016’s Welcome to GAZI, A.CHAL has existed in a Kid Cudi-esque realm of ambient hip-hop blending with intermittent stretches of vocalism. And as time has passed, he’s only gone on to further explore every corner of his transcendent realm.

Pink Dust is to date, his most grounded and refined exhibition of his many aesthetics fluidly becoming one. And above all else, Pink Dust is a delivery the likes of which isn’t coming from anyone else in music. In an era when the transcendence of stylistic lanes is what makes modern artists so intriguing, A.CHAL is one of hip-hop, R&B, and electronica’s great confluently adhesive leaders. And though Pink Dust is his first public release in more than a year, it’s obvious that the time spent out of the public eye was spent further refining his sound, and thus the future of music’s direction.
